Biography

Education:
Seton Hall University, South Orange NJ  M.A.( Counseling)  1989
Immaculate Conception Seminary, NJ Completed  studies in Theology. 1961
Seton Hall University B.A. Education.

2006-2007 Member of Inclusive Community clergy team at St. Paul’s Church, Nutley.

2006-present: President Garden State Storytellers Inc. 

1999-present Quinntales: Storytelling by Fred Quinn. Performs throughout State for senior groups, including Woman’s Clubs, Nursing Homes, Alzheimer Units, schools, outdoor festivals, churches, colleges, singles groups, workshops about storytelling .for teachers and storytellers, bi-lingual telling (Spanish/English)..

1980-1999 Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation West Orange/East Orange. Rehabilitation counseling testing- evaluated and helped plan retraining and alternate vocational opportunities. Worked primarily with individuals with the following disabilities:
spinal cord (paraplegia, quadriplegia), head trauma, veterans with post-traumatic stress syndrome, and learning disabilities. Gave lectures on physical rehabilitation techniques in Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo and Peru. 

1961-1969 Worked as Catholic priest for Archdiocese of Newark for eight years in Jersey City/

Established religious services for Spanish-speaking people in two parishes.  For two years, worked mostly with minorities- lived with three other priests in an experimental project living in an apartment among the poorer residents of downtown Jersey City.
